Acceptable use policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
Pepes Proxies routes your traffic through real household internet connections. Misuse harms the people who share those connections, the sites you visit, and every other customer. This policy forms part of our terms of service and applies to everything done with your account, whether by you or by anyone using your credentials.
1. What the service is for
Lawful activity that needs to see the public internet as an ordinary visitor would, for example:
- price, stock and availability monitoring;
- checking how search results, adverts and pages appear in other countries;
- testing and quality assurance of your own sites and apps;
- brand protection and checking where your own content or products appear;
- collecting publicly available data for research or analysis, where you are entitled to collect it.
2. Things you must never do
You must not use the service, or let anyone else use it, to:
- Break the law in the UK, where you are, or where the system you are connecting to is located, or help anyone else to.
- Access systems without permission: credential stuffing, password spraying, brute forcing, account takeover, bypassing authentication, port or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own, exploiting vulnerabilities, or any other unauthorised access.
- Attack or disrupt services: denial-of-service attacks of any kind, or sending traffic intended to degrade a site or network.
- Commit or facilitate fraud: payment or card fraud, card testing, refund or chargeback fraud, identity fraud, ad or click fraud, fake engagement, fake reviews, or bonus, referral and promotion abuse on other platforms.
- Send spam or other bulk unsolicited messages, on any channel, or run mail servers through the proxies.
- Distribute malware or phishing: hosting, delivering or controlling malicious software, phishing pages, or command-and-control traffic.
- Exploit children. Accessing, sharing or distributing child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises or endangers children, is banned absolutely. We report it to the authorities and preserve the evidence.
- Harm people: harassment, stalking, threats, doxxing, intimidation, or promoting terrorism or violence.
- Trade in illegal goods or services, or access markets for them.
- Infringe rights: copyright or trade mark infringement, or collecting personal data in breach of data protection law.
- Evade sanctions or export controls, or evade a ban that has been lawfully imposed on you.
- Interfere with elections or public processes, including coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
3. Things that need care
- Automated data collection. Only collect data you are entitled to collect. Respect the terms of the sites you access, keep request rates reasonable so you do not burden them, and do not collect personal data without a lawful basis.
- Accounts on other platforms. Do not create or operate accounts in bulk, or automate purchases, where that breaks the platform's rules or the law.
- Security testing. Only against systems you own or have written permission to test.
If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first.
4. Protecting the network
- Do not try to identify, contact, probe or connect to the residential devices or household networks that carry your traffic.
- Do not use the proxies for peer-to-peer file sharing or torrenting, to run public-facing servers, or to relay traffic for an open proxy or VPN service.
- Do not try to get around usage metering, obtain bandwidth without paying for it, or interfere with our systems or other customers' accounts.
- Do not resell or share access, or let third parties route traffic through your account, without our written agreement.
5. Your account
- The information in your waitlist application must be accurate, and your use must stay consistent with it. Tell us if your use changes significantly.
- One account each. Do not open another account after a suspension or closure, or to obtain discounts or affiliate commission you are not entitled to.
- You are responsible for all traffic sent with your proxy credentials. Keep them secret and reset them if they may have leaked.
6. Monitoring and cooperation
- We do not routinely inspect the content of your traffic. We and our network provider do measure how much data you use, and may review traffic metadata and abuse reports to investigate suspected breaches.
- If we ask you reasonable questions about how you are using the service, you must answer promptly and truthfully.
- We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement and regulators, and may disclose account information where the law requires or permits it.
7. What happens if you break this policy
- We may suspend your account immediately and without notice when we receive a credible abuse report or see signs of prohibited use. Suspension replaces your proxy password, so your existing configurations stop working.
- For a serious or repeated breach we will close the account. Any remaining balance is forfeited and, as with every purchase, no refund is given.
- We may report unlawful activity to the authorities and pass on relevant records.
- You are responsible for losses we suffer because of your breach, as set out in the terms of service.
8. Reporting abuse
If you believe Pepes Proxies is being used to harm you or your service, contact our support channel with the date and time (including time zone), the IP address involved, and a description of what happened. We investigate every report.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as abuse patterns and the law change. The current version is always on this page.
