Pepes Proxies is the controller of the personal data described here.
What we collect
- From Discord when you sign in: your Discord user ID, display name and avatar. We request two permissions:
identify, andguilds.join, which we use once at sign-in to add you to our Discord server, where we send approval messages and give customer roles. We do not receive your Discord password, email address, list of servers or messages, and we do not keep Discord access tokens after sign-in. You can leave our server at any time; it does not affect your account. - Your waitlist application: what you tell us about how you intend to use the service and, if you choose to give it, an email address. We use the email address only to tell you the outcome of your application.
- Account records: purchases, your recorded confirmation at checkout that each sale is final, bandwidth credits, promo codes used, who referred you (if anyone), referrals you made, saved proxy configurations and support requests.
- Usage: the amount of data transferred through your proxy account per day, and your remaining balance, as reported by the network provider. We do not record the websites you visit through the proxy.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive payment references, amounts and status. We never see or store your card number.
- Security logs: sign-ins, administrative actions and rate-limiting data (which can include IP address) to protect accounts and prevent abuse.
- Cookies: a sign-in session cookie, a security (CSRF) cookie, and, if you arrive through an affiliate link, a cookie remembering that link for 30 days. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we use it
- To provide the service and take payment (performance of a contract).
- To prevent fraud and abuse, handle disputes and keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
- To keep financial records (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Discord, to authenticate you and add you to our server.
- Our proxy network provider, which hosts your proxy account under a random username that contains no personal details.
- Our email delivery provider, to send your approval notice if you gave us an email address.
- Discord again, if we send you a direct message about your application.
- Hosting and database providers that run this website for us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
If you are referred by an affiliate, they can see that a referral bought bandwidth and how much, with your name masked. They cannot see your identity or account.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as your account is open. Declined waitlist applications for up to twelve months. Payment and transaction records for six years to meet accounting rules. Security logs for up to twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Contact us through the support link in your dashboard. In the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
